Eleven Years Is a Long Time to Be a New Face

I entered the Comedy Works New Faces contest eleven years in a row. At some point you’d think somebody at the door would go, “Actually, we remember your face.”

I moved to Denver in 2015 to do stand-up. Comedy Works was the club I wanted to play. This year I won New Faces, and I’m on the roster. I get to call it my home club now, which sounds a lot cooler than explaining how long I’ve been hanging around the building.

When I’m away from the club, I perform with The Dose, make videos with the Canned Laughter Network, and roast golfers at charity tournaments. Golf is a pretty good gig for a comic. If a joke dies, four guys get in a cart and a whole new audience pulls up.

I’m calling this blog The Daily Bit. Come back tomorrow. Apparently if something has my name on the signup sheet, I keep showing up.
